Finally dug through my boxes and found my camera and took some pics of my first few pens.
My first pen, Koa Euro, struggled with the CA/BLO finish, it was nice and shiny, went to bed and woke up to find the wood had absorbed the finish. Should have made the profile a bit less tapered so that the line of the nob would better flow into the shape of the barrel.
Then I gave a Baron a try, with only slightly better results on the finish, but starting to realize that Koa is quite thirsty.
Tried another Baron, this time with Citrus Orange, finish worked out better this time.
Tried a Cigar with Maple, not wild about the profile, almost wish I could swap this profile with the Euro I did earlier.
Tried another Cigar, this time with Eastern Red Cedar, turned out a bit too proud around the nib.
