After my wisdom tooth extraction, I ended up with dry socket. I didn't realize that's what it was but, I was eating 20-25 Advil a day last weekend and still couldn't sleep from the pain. It radiated into my throat, ear and eye.
My wife called the sergeon and asked about it. They told her it should not hurt longer than 3 days and to have me come in. I went in on Tuesday and he packed it will something that tasted awful but, in 30 minutes, the pain was gone!
It hasn't hurt since and I go back tomorrow to have it changed so hopefully I don't have any problems over the weekend.
I did find out that the liquid in the packing is a mixture that contains clove oil. It works miracles!!
