After several blow outs with tools, I ended up using Abranet sandpaper all the way down to bushings. It was sure dusty, but worked great. Then a little auto polish, then a Ares Pen kit.

They are tough. Yours looks great! My uncle painted for Ford for years. Had me Make him one this summer.

Well, that's a very attractive pen - how you got there??? No matter, it worked. Sometimes ya gotta go with what works. Textbook process doesn't always match what is in front of us. (I have used the 80 grit chisel myself). 🤫

I love the pen!

Well, that would have been a good opportunity to use the "Flap Disc System", if you don't know what it is, do a quick search on the site.
