Well done! Beautifully balanced! If I had to(had to, mind you) complain about anything, it would be that it is too shiny! The reflection is distracting and misleading at first glance. What a complaint! Mike, that is just a superbly done piece of woodart! I like it when wood still looks like wood when you are done with it.......

I have some kitty litter buckets with lots of colors of plastic if you want them. They also work good for dust free storage of 'stuff'.

ok. i am going to ask what is probably a really dumb question.

can i just pieces from a plastic pail or whatever for segmenting on the pens?
i have been trying to figure out what to use.

what other materials are commonly used when doing segmenting?

I have used the plastic squares used to hold bread wrapper clsoed. I have used white CD cases. A popular item is guitar pick material.

I have even used sand.

Thanks everyone. To be completely honest my personal tastes run pretty simple, but I have a lot of fun making these, and I think they look pretty cool though will probably not be in my pocket.
Jkoehler - The white is a white plastic "For Sale" Sign. Use what ever you can find plastic, paper, aluminum foil, aluminum shim stock, wood veneer, ect. Just do it on a test piece first

Thumbs - I use a scanner so the glare is pretty bright. I have been working on a little change with my CA finish that I think is working well, but I will admit there are some visible scratches that I did not get on the center band, so back to the drawing board.

Kevin - Thanks for the offer but I think that plastic will be a little thick. The good thing about the sign material it is only about as thick as a business card.

GerberPens - I used a CSU snap cap for this pen.
