Found this wood yesterday. The log wasn't that big, and had definitely been hit by lightning some years back. The insides of the log always shows great color, but its full of checks. A bazillion volts must do that! It really puts the tree through stress and in this case, it's wildly curly. I'm selling some of the blanks on the individual classified.
