Check out the site below. I have been participating there for years but never thought to bridge the gap. This is an industrial woodworking forum specifically for people who work with wood for a living. Anyone and everyone is welcome to read, but they prefer "professional" folks post.
If you post a question there about finishing pens, they will likely delete the post since they are dedicated to cabinetry/furniture makers. But there is a lot of info on there for us to learn, especially those of us who make a lot of pens.
If you post there about finishing woodturnings and it is what you do for a living, just make that fact obvious in your post and you should be alright.
