This is my fake wood PR Euro. Haven't posted here in ages. This is the start of my back catalogue from March 2011!



Yes, naturally, it's my own homebrew blank...

Yes. I started with a silicone baking sheet, onto which I poured a light brown resin. (Someone else on here does something terribly similar using a sheet of glass.) When that was gelling, I swirled in a dark brown). I sliced this into about a dozen strips about 3/4in wide and set those at a small angle into my mould (sized for three blanks). Then I filled it up with a medium brown PR.

Oh, yeah, and there's a pinch of mica powder in the pale brown, which gives it a shimmer similar to the kind you sometimes see in the like of beech.
