Why waste wonderful material?
For us mm impaired countries... 6 1/8" (You could row a boat with that! :wink
I have just started trying to make closed end pens and appreciate the necessity to do careful measurements. Having the extra material is a double bonus - It's "Beautiful" - I don't want to part it off; and, it gives a nice margin of error to finish what you wanted the length to be.
Your finish is wonderful.
