First pen of 2022. I had no idea how the blank would end up but fairly happy with the end result. Blue and red tulip and 1/16 basswood. Still one or two little gaps in the herringbone pattern but I'm gradually refining the process

What a wonderful result I hate to think how long it took but worth the effort.

That came out great. Like the pattern. It really is not that easy of a project because of all the little mating surfaces have to be perfect. This is on my to do list. I am looking into trying a different method than what most do. But again will have to wait for a better time for me and I can get back in the shop. Keep up the great work.

Superb! That is a very complicated build, but your result is very impressive. I like the choice of colors, and it leads into many combinations.

Well done and thanks for the inspiration. 👏 👏 👏

That tunred out really great Eric. Excellent craftsmanship. Your work has given me some inspiration for this type of segmenting. Thank you for sharing.

That looks really great! Love the red, white and blue choice!

The little structure you built up out of the segments...I'm curious, how was it drilling that and all? Once you were done assembling it, did you first square it up?

Once you've assembled/bonded all the segments together you trim off the wings and square the ends. Then you turn the blank between centres and then use pen Jaws for drilling the centre hole
