has anyone talked to ed at exotic blanks lately i have been trying to get up with him and have sent seveal pm and emails but have not heard back from him i sent a money order for a order that i did with he=im and was checking to see if he had got it yet been alomst 3 weeks now and accordingtto the web site my order still has not been paid for. hope everythingis ok with them it could just be the weather.

There was another thread almost identical to this one, in which, he explained the best way to get a response. Too bad, I don't remember what it was. PHONE....does sound familiar :biggrin:

When you last PM'd me on Jan 31, there was nothing to tell you. Your money order had not arrived. The only other email we show came in at 3:07 today.

We checked the mail for this week and indeed, your money order has arrived. So your bottle of WTF will go out tonight.

Sorry for the delay, this transaction (and a couple very similar, involving mailing payment) has convinced us we need to adhere to our normal paypal or credit card terms. The week delay of waiting for a mailed check makes the order "buried" in our system, which causes all of us "heartburn"!

As long as we are talking about shipping, let me also note that since the postal rates have changed, "click and ship interface for us" no longer works. So, every address label requires retyping the shipping address. AND there is no automatic notification to you that the items have shipped. (So Dawn is attempting to "cut and paste" your email, which works often but not always) Of course, Exotics is one of millions of companies having this problem, so I expect it will be solved sometime soon. But, right now our customers are not getting the usual email telling them the package ID. And, of course that means millions of people are trying to track packages, so that system is "behind".

In short, the actual shipping is taking the usual 3-4 days, but often parcels are arriving while the "tracking" still shows it in Wisconsin. So, it is best to wait a week or so and, if your parcel does NOT arrive, let us know.

For the most part, we continue to ship the same day we receive your order. Packages get to the Postal Service at 3PM and 11PM, so the postmark may show the next day.

Hope this helps everyone understand the logistics!!

thats fine i was just concern that maybe it had got lost in the mail glad you got it i am not in any big hurry for it. next time i will use a card but for my piece of mine with my pc can i call you when i order something and give you the number over the phone. if not i will understand and go through the site for cards. thanks for reply and hope u have a good day

You bring up an important point: Many of us have concerns about using a credit card over the internet. Dawn and I are very willing to take card numbers over the phone. In fact, several years ago on "Exotics1", we added the option, "Will call in". That option will remain available to all who would prefer to do it by phone. If you use that "check box", your order is preserved as if it were paid (no one can buy the one of a kind blanks that you have chosen). So, as long as we hear from you within a day or so, it is just like a normal credit card order.
