Everyone should have a Robot.

I don't but thankfully my next door neighbour does. :biggrin: He came by this morning to help unload the heavy tools I've had stored in a couple shipping containers for the last year and a half. I unloaded everything else by myself over 3 days but the first table saw, bandsaw, milling machine and metal lathe were just too much for one guy. He is bringing the 21" bandsaw around to the shop. One container down and one to go.

I would pass on the cost of acquiring a "ROBOT", but will gladly applaud having a friendly neighbor who has one! :biggrin::biggrin:

I only wish...!

The things I could do with one of those, or even the smaller ones, equipped to handle logs, etc.

The thing is my friend, you no spring chicken anymore and you won't last if going silly with lifting heavy stuff, the small stuff is enough to give your back/body a workout that will be saw for days so, take care of yourself and be thankful that you have someone willing to help with their machinery.

I look forwards to see your and Marla new workshop and I wonder, have I seen any pics of the new place you guys are living now...?

Wow, you are so fortunate. Your equipment is coming home. Here is mine saying good bye. Moved the Bridgeport and large lathe along with a ton of tooling out to a lucky new owner. I'm 78 so I no longer do larger projects. I still have a smaller mill and lathe so I'm not completely down and out.

In Japan in the in the ship yard they had a lathe they used to make the main propeller drive shafts for ships .
I do not know exactly how big that lathe was, my best guess is the bed 60 feet plus feet long ..
