This is a small hollow form from bees wing eucalyptus. It is completely hollowed to about 1/4" wall thickness and the thing still weighs as much as a brick. Some small checks were filled with black CA. The finial is a piece of African Blackwood. Finish is danish oil that has been buffed.

Thanks, I was wondering if maybe you used a stick with sandpaper. I wasn't sure if people sanded the inside of small hollowforms and I want to try making one.
I do use a carbide attachment to get the walls smooth. If you do a finial and glue it on really no reason to sand. If you make it where the finial comes off then yes you may want to. Sam Angelo has a good video on sanding inside forms you may want to check out.

Thanks for the info. I've seen many of Sam's videos, I'll look for the one you mentioned.
