I brought back this wood from El Salvador. A coffee worker gifted it to me directly from the farm. Ethiopian coffee tree wood, primarily from Coffea arabica, is a dense and durable byproduct often used for firewood and charcoal. Because of its hardness and natural resistance to termites, it is also used in crafting furniture, tool handles, and even pet chew toys.

That's a new one for me. Good match with the component finish. Noted the little knot in the lower barrel which replaces the center band. Shows the natural state of the wood. Thanks for sharing the story and the pen.

I'm curious of the material for the clip and accessories; I assume kit components? But I really appreciate the presentation with no effort to hide or fix imperfections - that is wood, that is what appeals to me! Very nice shape and profile. Well done.
