I bought a Tool and Cutter Grinder for several reasons but the main one was so I could make "Step Drills". I grind the "step" part to diameter on my metal lathe toolpost grinder but I needed an accurate way to grind the relief angles on the cutting edge.

The grinder came with a 5C collet chuck but a 5C is limited as to the diameters it will hold. On the other hand, I already had a full set of ER32 collets that would be perfect for what I needed.

Here are the two chucks side by side, the ER32 on the left and the 5C is on the right...

Very nice. What are your plans for the step drills? Recently the idea of step drills for FP sections was talked about. Is that doable?
