Engraving question

I have a question about having a small turning engraved. I've had several pens engraved over the years and have always sent the finished barrel unassembled to the person doing the engraving. I completed a Fire Starter from Penn State Industries that I will give to my oldest grandson. I've assembled it except for attaching the lanyard with the striker. Will it still be able to be mounted and engraved? Thanks for any assistance you can provide. This is not the one I made, but just an example

I would think there would be no problem. They should be able to rig up a support of some kind if need be if it doesn't sit in something they already have.
