Here is an English Elm roller ball pen I turned on Thursday. This was the first time I used this wood and I really like it. It has such a heavy grain which makes it look nice. This is on a Tycoon Gold kit I got from PSI. I dry sanded up to 600 grit. I then did 2 coats of thin CA. On this pen I tried applying the med ca a little different and did the first 4-5 coats with one of the part baggies. It really helps to smooth things out. I did sand between the last few coats of CA for a total of 6 coats of Med. I then did wet MM starting with the 3rd grit in order and worked my way up from there. I have done Jr Gent kits which I really like too, but this is a nice substitute as well. It has a nice weight to it for me.
