In the same Jacques Vesery workshop this summer, I did some pyrography and coloring on a small spin top. The maple top was turned by a friend who had a box of them and handed them out for folks to use as palates for embellishing.

Pyrography, Black Stain, Acrylic Paints, Clear Satin Lacquer

There is some work there for sure and they came out well. Very different. I do spinning tops as well and I incorporate scroll saw designs. Never could get the hang of the chatter tool that many people use with spinning tops. Makes for a nice project and yours have some extra value to them. There are people that collect spin tops and I bet those would be wanted for sure. Thanks for showing.
