Elegant Sierra in Olive?

I'm not sure what the wood is. I thought it was Lignum Vitae when I started as it was dense and the sawdust was greenish. I had to sand to the bushings shortly after the blank was round. Large cracks that CA wasn't curing. This was so brittle I expected a blowout all the way through. I now think it is Olive because of a slightly sweet smell as i was working it. 8 coats of medium CA.

Looks like olive burl, crotch or root. Does not matter, it sure is sweet.
