Well, after the storms that ran a muck thru OKC last Friday, we finally got power back on this morning. Fared well, just reminded of how schlem we can be with the conveniences of life.
I don't know what's worse, no power in the summer, or no power in the winter. We were without power for 4 days last Christmas. At least our hot water heater was gas, so we could take a hot shower.
Anyway, glad your back on the grid. The days are so much longer without power.
that's why the wife and i put in the emergency generator last fall. power out, 10 seconds pass, full power back on. great comfort in knowing that is out there. every sunday runs for 15 minutes and we watch when home and just sigh.
Ours was out from Friday night until Saturday mid morning we have a 6000K generator so were able to have electricity to both Refrigs, freezer, Tv and each room had lights , but no internet as Uverse internet was down also. We are a very spoiled generation.
We are currently on the grid for the school, which is an evacuation center, so we are always some of the first to get power back. If it is more than 12 hours after storm has passed it's a surprise. But yes I do have an adequate generator. Seems my inlaws have used it more than I have.
Paul, Glad you finally got power back. The wife and I headed up to Edmond to spend the evening with her sister. I live just north of 23rd street and was very happy to see that I had power when I got home.
