Yes, I'm going to attempt the custom plunge!.... Well kinda. I would like to purchase some El Grande front fountain sections. Can anyone point me in the right direction to buy sections only or have a couple to sell?

TIA

Hi Dan. I would suggest Timberbits. David sells individual components of the Harvest which is pretty similar to the El Grande and might work for you and they are reasonably priced. He did free air shipping on an $80 order and I got it in about 3 days.

Are they m10X1 threads? If not do you by any chance know the thread size?

At one point, Berea Hardwoods, Beartooth Woods and Arizona Silohuette all sold the El Grande/Churchill fountain front sections.

And yes, the Cambridge and Roman Harvest sections are 10mm x 1.

Here is a link to beartooth. Ernie has a nice selection of tip, all sections with feeds and nibs are $6.00. As an upgrade, the bock nibs fit these feeds and sections very nicely.

Thanks for the tip, Harry. Ocasionally, I'll make a sterling custom fountain. It's good to know that David sells these sections as "standalone". The silver and gold sections do add a little more "bling" than the Berea black plastic section.

Better be sure because the Roman Harvest and El Grande (Cambridge) 10x1 threads are not interchangeable if I recall. I'll check later when I get home.

I had a member graciously offer to send me a few sections. Man, this is the best forum with the best members on the net. Reminds me of the movie.... "Pay It Forward". I will be doing the same.

Humbled with thanks
Dan
