I decided to turn some eggs and have a go with finishing. Wifey added the pyrography and did the one with blown paints. These were fun and we have some ideas for more as time permits.

Beautifully Done!

I love the decorations. How did you get those textures in the last photo? Very nice!

In many cultures around the world, the egg is a symbol of the soul, new life, fertility, and rebirth. For Christians, the Easter egg is symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Beautiful! I also like two of the last - blue and gold; wonderful texturing. And those with the pyrography are stunning.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Mark, the one which looks blue has silver guilding paste......just looks a little bluish in the pic. Both of those eggs are pine..
Great things happen when Wifey fires up her pyro burner!

I found a pic of a sphere I finished similarly to the torched eggs. This is a maple sphere which had a couple of cracks. These cracks opened even more when torched. This one is about 2 1/4" diameter and has a copper look.
