We didn't get a full eclipse in VA, but the clouds did make for a cool effect and allowed me to not need special camera filters or anything...

Here are some I took with my Nikon camera. I captured the complete eclipse with 185 photos. I think the ring of fire was a bit overexposed. I wish I had caught that while I was taking the photos.

I'm located near San Antonio TX and the sky was overcast. My wife and I still sat outside with wine, cheese and crackers. The fact we couldn't see it shouldn't spoil a good time. A friend took pity on me and sent me a video of the eclipse. Hilarious. I have strange friends.
