I've had a stock of Ebony pens and recently did some turns that came out good that I am gifting to friends (and as a start on what styles to sell). Here's the first one, which I really liked the lines on and ended up looking pretty ok, despite me realizing I had a case of the dull tools.

Pen Turn Progression can be found on my Instagram.

Looks good. Not sure maybe you addressed it already but looks like a crack at the cap area in first photo. You will find ebony can be one of those woods that is prone to crack. I try to keep the blank as small as I can. I do have one fit for a sierra kit that I turned about 2 months ago and really watching it before I put on a kit. I will try to use a satin poly to get the look I want. Ebony especially Gabon ebony is a great accent wood.

Hence why I said it was a good one, and why I plan to gift it instead of selling. I have found that, but, if I usually go slow on drilling I don't run into that problem (for this and another one the issue was me pressing the wrong way šŸ˜£). Now, African Blackwood, on the other hand..... *sighs*
