Ebonite

Hey everyone,

I just turned half of a pen last night out of some marbled green ebonite, and I was wondering, how long does it take until the pen stops smelling like ebonite? It is a day later, and the pen still smells. Thanks a lot.

I have one a week or so out and still has the smell. Time will tell.

Unused? Never, or at least not in any kind of reasonable time. They don't stop smelling until they've been used regularly for a while.

I've got one I turned months ago that still smells. CA finish over the ebonite can lock that smell up, but I prefer the natural ebonite.
