Seems my email has been hacked as I'm getting fail to deliver over and over for emails i didn't send. Please if you get a email from me unsolicited please do not open. So far I have over 90 returned emails , even Dee has gotten one so some are going through. I had a truck on Greigs list, I wonder...

Bumping this so as to alert those that were in bed last night when this happen. I think it's been fixed had to change my pass word.

Bounced messages don't necessarily mean your account was hacked. Just that your email address was used as the from address. The undeliverable emails get sent back to you since it has you as the sender. You would have to look at the email's headers themselves to tell truly where it came from - even that can get fun as they'll forge some to throw people off. Though if they did hack it, they can send as you and have access to your contacts.

Still NEVER a bad idea to change your password regularly. I highly recommend one of the secure password generating programs that makes each one unique. Since if they did hack into it, they also had access to any emails that you had in there on the server. That potentially tells them where you go on the internet, and if it's the same password all those accounts are in jeopardy too.

Abosultely agree with Rob. I was an Information Security executive for over 23 years and suggest you look into LastPass ==> https://lastpass.com/index.php.

With LastPass, you can generate very strong passwords (PWs), use a different PW for each site (highly recommended) and only have to remember one PW. You can also auto-login with LastPass thus defeating malicious software (aka 'malware') that captures your keystrokes (key loggers) if you are unfortunate enough to have been hacked. The basic program is free but for $12/year the premium version also covers smartphones and tablets.

If you were indeed hacked (may have been if the returned email contains addresses in your contact lists), in addition to changing your email PW, change the PWs on any sites that may have used the same PW as your email PW.

Roy, if the rejections are from people that are not in your contact list, someone is using your email address (not your email software) to spoof for sending spam - they have not hijacked your email or password. When the spam is rejected on the receiving end, the notice naturally comes back to you even though you did not send it. If that is the scenario, there is nothing that you can do about it in regards to a more secure password. It can happen to anyone that has an email address. The header/delivery system of email is easy to fake.
