Does any members sell dyes and pigments for making pr blanks and dying wood? I got a couple 32oz cans of pr from Micheals and some dyes to get started. After it gone I will order from Mr Fiberglass. Would like to buy from here before I google search companys. Thanks Rich H

www.artstuf.com is a GREAT place to buy pigments and colors.

Their luster pigments are top notch and better priced than many.

Color pigments (buy the SMALLER quantity first to make sure you like it because not all color pigments behave the same way-- some dissolve easily, some don't).

Note that first four or five of their luster pigments look almost identical, differing only in particle size (I did not know this at first). I ordered "one of each" to see how they worked. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you get one SuperSilk (very, very fine powdery luster) and one SuperSparkle (much larger particle size, almost glittery). All the other types are somewhere in between on the particle size and the two I just mentioned will serve you very well.

Thanks Matt for the information. I will check them out. Good luck to you and your wife in your studys and with the new addition in Nov. Thanks Rich H.

Rich-

There's also my standard answer here: check out my color library .
It's primarily ArtStuf pigments, so the examples hopefully will help you out.

(and after you start casting, the invitation's always there for you to add your recipes to the library)

Only warning I'll give you about ArtStuf is that their site is terrible --but their people are great.
When I was ordering it didn't properly remove things from the cart. I noted it in the comments, and before filling my order someone called me to make sure it was right.

In another thread it was pointed out that the color library page didn't render
well for IE users. A few changes to the code later, and it now is much more readable.

Maybe one of these days I'll even fix the header pictures.
