I have some wood that I think would benefit from being dyed a different color.  I'm assuming that using a pickle jar vacuum set-up would be the best way to get the dye to penetrate.  Anybody bone this?  What would be the best kind of dye to use?  I've even thought about RIT since it's cheap and readily available.
