Dyed Sierra's

First of all a Red maple from BigRob. These are excellent blanks with the colour all the way through, and very red

Next a Turquoise dyed Box Elder from Ernie at BTW

Although i like the way that the dye hasn't got all of the wood, i thought i would see what it would be like with another dye. So dyed another with some purple and this was the result.
What do you all think[?]

I like the colors, but I would like to see photos that aren't over-exposed. The chrome parts almost disappear.

Both are nice. I prefer the shape of the 2nd one though.

Red maple? Is that dyed?

Nice work .. did you do the dying yourself or were they commercially dyed.. I buy some double dyed blanks from the wood craft store.. get some really interesting pens from them.

Dario, this is one of the red dyed maple blanks from BigRob.

Chuck The first turquiose dye was already done, and i added the purple using some spirit stain after sanding down .
