Hi Mark,

Before you run off to Rockler or anywhere else, go here and build your own. It takes about an hour and a half, once you've studied it a little bit, and it works like a dream with a shop vac. Also, if you do it right, then down the road when you get a full size dust collector you can change the intakes out and use it with the new dc. That's what I did, and I've been extremely pleased. Oh yeah, I think that my total cost for the can, MDF, bolts, and fittings was around $35-40 or so.

Thanks Dow.
I think I have a lot of those parts in the garage someplace already. This will allow me to save a few $$$ for my Trend fund.

I agree,I made one of the collectors about a year ago and love it.I tested it by sucking up about 10 years worth of sawdust behing my radial arm saw,I dumped the 25 gal tub I'm using about 5 times and had about 2 hands full of sawdust to make it into my vacuum. Some fine sanding dust will get by,but very little coarse stuff. It's a great design.
