Has anyone used the Dust Bee Gone dust mask and if so is it worth the extra cost? The cheaper paper mask I've been using isn't too good and I would like something a little better for wood dust. Thanks for any info. John
I use one of these from Lee Valley, as I wear readers and the regular dust mask's leak air and fog up the glasses. This one fits like a resporator but breaths just like a regular dust mask. http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=62081&cat=1,42207
I'm using the dust be gone right now because my Triton respirator isn't functioning. I have mixed feelings about the dust be gone. Sometimes I can get it so it doesn't fog my glasses up and other times I can't. It does keep the dust to a minimum.
I started off with a Dust Bee Gone . . . and experienced respiratory problems. I then did my homework and realized that it is NOT OSHA approved. I immediately gave up on it. The lesson for me was that I needed an approved mask that really did the job. I went with a Triton.
