I have been looking around and reading about dust collectors...
...seems there are a lot of recommendations for the 'clearvue cyclone' collector.

I have been trying to get to their website unsuccessfully,
is it just me or have they changed their site URL..?

TIA,

John, before I would spend a penny on DC, I would go to Google and check out this man, Bill Pentz, and read his site. There is enough data there to keep you out of trouble on DC equipment. Clearview uses some of his design to the best of my knowledge. If you are going to throw money at good clean air, do it once and right. Study the information available. There appears to be much advertising hipe out there and not not that much correct data. JMHO.

I have had a Clearview Cyclone for two years now, the LH1800, now called the CV1800 LH. Here is a review I did on Lumberjocks when I first put it in.

Now, two years after the fact, here is my followup:

The Clearview Cyclone system has far exceeded my expectations. It runs smooth and steady, and turns on every time I hit the remote.

It is a VERY powerful system, so powerful that it will suck a large rag right out of your hand while you are applying a finish if you are not careful.

The filters on this baby are fantastic, and I have never had a 'blow out' where unwanted dust or dirt got blown through or around the filters into my shop.

I know that the original owners have sold the company so I can not speak to the now customer service. I know it is a USA company and a high quality unit.

So two years post-purchase I am still VERY happy in the investment.
