Had the opportunity to work with some gorgeous material from Turnt Pen Co. for this custom pen order. The blank is called Dusky Orchid Abalone and the colors really came to life on the lathe.

This one is the Magician full size pen and takes a K6 converter and is fitted for Jowo 6 nib units.

I really enjoyed working with this material and plan to pick up some more blanks from Turnt in the future!

Thanks Mark! I try to take inspiration from magic wand shapes for my pens, but still hopefully keep them proportional and looking like a pen... Sometimes it works out!

This leather sleeve I picked up at the Ohio Renaissance Fair, however we also picked up some tools there, which were amazingly better priced than a lot of what I have seen online. My wife is primarily going to be doing our leather work, however I would like to try some of the tooling design work. I also do calligraphy and some engraving.
