I'm looking at the Duraclick EDC instructions. The instructions have a diagram of the bushings. They say that the bushing OD is .435".

What is that supposed to match up to on the pen?

The clip measures .443"
The finger grip measures .423" on the groove and .452" on the knurling
The cap coupler measures .452"on the knurling

What part of the pen do you turn the blank to? Or do you turn it to the bushings?

Personally, I turn it to the smallest diameter. So the clip and the finger grip groove are my dimensions.
Just my personal taste.
I use the bushings as guide but always break out the digital calipers for the final sizing.

For the Duraclick EDC I turn my barrel to 0.454", close to matching the knurling on both ends. . I don't use bushings.

I like straight-sided barrels to be a shade (meaning about 0.002" to 0.004") larger than the adjoining hardware.
