DuPont Zodiaq

Has anyone tried turning DuPont Zodiaq? I've been working with Corian and have seen on DuPont's web site that they offer Zodiaq, which is made with natural quartz and resins.

DuPont Zodiaq - This is nothing like corian. To machine it requires diamond tools. Stand wood or metal tooling will not cut it at best it will break up.

I have some SILE stone off cuts from our counter tops. The only way I have been able to get any shape off it is with files and that is still hit and miss.

I have a whole bag of those industrial diamonds left over from my tool and die making days.... wonder if I can CA or epoxie them on to a tool and go for it...... :biggrin: LOL

And a respirator. The silica will destroy your lungs.
