Sounds crazy: since astronomers look far into deep space, they see incredible things. Does Dune exists, with worms that could make square holes? Here is a 3D modeling following the latest scientific finds, in boxwood, ebony and bone. Enjoy!

Wow that is some really impressive work. Can not even imagine the time and effort that went into this. Can not even imagine how to do this. I belong to some turning forums and always marvel how they make most of their projects. This is right up there. Heck with pens. Big time turning for sure. Pleasure to look and drool at. Well done.

Fred, if the worms go inside, we're safe. If they get out, everything can happen. The planet OD is 90 mm, a bit more than 7/2 inches if you prefer fractions, but I'm not used to them. 😊

Right in the center, there is a little sphere within the sphere in the middle of the axis. I thought a white stuff would show up, I'd rather have made it bright red...:(
