Dual 11" Diameter Dizzy/Vortex Bowls

They started out as this. I glued up strips of various species of hardwoods into a blank as shown. It was 11 1/4" x 11 1/4" x 1 7/8" thick .
I made both of these bowls from that one blank




There is a slight intentional difference in the two apart from the fact that they are both exactly 11" diameter and one is 6 1/4" deep and the other one is 6 /34" deep .

I like those type of bowls whatever the name: vortex, dizzy, swirly. I must try one soon. Nice going.

You split the board in two on the band saw then use a Ring-master.
