Drying blanks?

My initial thought is no, not dried but they should be allowed to become acclimated to your specific environment...temperature and humidity range.
if you get wax coated blanks, you may want to shave off the wax or trim with band saw(if large enough) and let them acclimate longer as these may have a higher moisture content.
