I am going to give the Glu Boost CA products a try after using the BLO / CA process for a while. I like the BLO / CA as it doesn't require sanding and the wood has a natural feel, but I would like a bit more shine sometimes. Does anyone have a good source of dry micromesh that they like and can recommend? Thanks, David

What JT says is true. I have called the manufacturer and they told me the same.
Using it wet will extend the life of the abrasive; you have also reducing heating and clogging the pads. If using dry, slower RPMs or less pressure (less friction) may help. Enjoy the process!

I have both wet and dry micro mesh. The wet is at my right hand, the dry at my left. Same product. If you like the padded MM buy the 3x4 sheets and cut into four pieces. Much cheaper than the smaller squares.

I get my MM at Woodcraft and cut the sheets into strips about an inch wide. I periodically take a toothbrush and clean the MM under running water. I keep the MM in a plastic container with a bit of water when I'm making more than one pen.
