Drilling Acrylics

I just recently started drilling on the lathe. I was wondering what speed should I use for drilling acrylics? any help would be appreciated.

Between 350 and 500 RPM (I prefer about 400 RPM). Same for wood. Just be sure to back out the drill bit every 1/8" or so to clear chips and to make sure neither the drill bit nor the blank heats up too much.

I aim for 500 ish for drilling. I don't get real fussy though. I used to drill way to fast on my old lathe and never had a prob either.

I use water as cooler it help very much

I drilled acrylic on the lathe. It cuts smoothly. Take your time.

It likely is, but sometimes the search function returns results other than exactly what one is looking for. It's often easier to ask an often repeated question because you'll find an answer in far less time.
