Drill Worms Part 3

I had one more blank I made from drill worms. Patriotic colors and I thought a bolt action pen would make a good fit. Yielded two pens. I painted one blue and one white.

Admittedly, there were small air pockets, but nothing to worry about. I was going to put CA on anyway because it polishes better.

While I was at it, I finally drilled a hole to exhaust my shop vac outside. It was cold this winter with the door cracked to exhaust the toxic CA fumes. And, yes, after the photo I trimmed it and hid it with a louvered dryer vent cover.

These came out very nice. Those blanks are very well done. I definitely like the blue better. Did you paint the blank and tube?

Yes. I painted both the hole and the tube. I generally drill a half size up when I'm going to paint, and then coat both.
