How do you all store the numerous drill bits we acquire for pen turning? I was thinking about storing the individual bits in the small pen tubes that I usually give away with a pen purchase.

I took a chunk of wood and drilled a hole with each bit and then labeled the hole. Mount the wood to the wall near the drill press and you have a fully indexed drill bit holder. You could even group the bits so that the "sets" needed for particular kits are near each other.

DITTO!

Those that come in their own boxes as set stay in those boxes. Plus, I have a storage box by size of bit. Then, I have a large drawer, literally, filled with bits in no special order. But, for those special weirdo drill bit sizes needed for some of our pens, they stay in the kit/supply drawers with the particular kit they are intended for and the outside of the drawer is marked with kit name and bit size.

2x4 with 3/4 in holes drilled in top, bits in the woodcraft tubes that I no longer use...bit size in sharpie on the tube...

Non-metric drill bits are in the mondo index box that they came in from HF.

Metric bits (and the pentel bit) live in a seperate index box that I bought from McMaster Carr for five or six bucks.
