I know there has been a lot of "drill" topics lately so please forgive me.

I went to HF today to buy a set of bits, as was recommended by a few people of IAP. So I get there thinking I knew what I wanted.... well kind of.
I ended up with a 29 piece HSS Titanium Nitride coated, 1/16 - 1/2 by 1/64ths.
Now for the question. These bits have a 135 degree point, which is 'blunter' than your normal bit. I've heard this is good for acrylic blanks. True or false?
How is this 135 dergee angle for wood? Would 'normal' bits or Brad point bits be better for wood?

Thanks

Ok they will work, slow and easy with a soapy water mix for coolant. A plastic bottle with and old vise or wood clamp drilling fixture. Set in a plastic or aluminum tray. I have drilled plastic of assorted kinds building signage, props, magic and general fabrication.
This link is from a boat site about drilling and drills for plastic Now I do have a set of the craftics plasti-drills I have heard of the other ones the diamond coated ones and am going to try some of the diamond coated holes saw drill I have.

Here is a close up of the differences in the point angles and the rake grind or lack of one.
I do know it does make a difference in drilling sheet goods, lexan brand and other acrylic brands and plexi
