If you use the active topics tool, you might miss the updates that Jeff has been making to the Donation Drawing thread ( http://www.penturners.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=20625 ). No, this isn't a thinly veiled attempt to drum up some extra donations (though I'd be happy if that happened, too!). I just wanted to thank the MANY vendors and suppliers, as well as some of our own IAP members, for their generous donations. I'm amazed at the breadth of stuff they've donated, from cactus blanks, live centers, and shaving head brushes, to a Beall collet system and even a mini lathe!

Oh, and let's not forget Kingspor, and the various IAP members who have donated to the trivia contest prize pool. This place ROCKS!

Thanks to the generousity of both suppliers and members for making this a great 3rd anniversary bash. Although the celebrations is not yet over, I can't help but say thanks to eveyone involved for making it so great and to be part of this penturning community. JIMGO we appreciate you starting this thread. Let's keep it going and show our thanks for this great event.

I am feeling pretty lucky [:p] lots of good stuff I can use !

Hey Anthony. I'm in the drawing ... how lucky is that? For me, that is! I have a place already cleaned out for that lathe...three in a row on my work bench top. [:D] Any of the other prizes will be ok too!

My thanks also to all of the vendors and individuals who donated. We do appreciate your support, and a Happy Birthday to the IAP.

Hey Virgil, that's why I went and picked up my new lathe this morning.
I figured with you in the mix, it is a givin you will win the Jet.
I want the Oneway gift certificate [:p] or any other prize [8D]
 
What is this with Don and winning lathes? Last time I was with him, he won a nice little Midi. I think we should exclude him from the lathe drawing![}:)]
 
I agree with Bill. Or at least make him put it up for auction to even further support the IAP. Okay, I'm a little bitter because I haven't won anything yet. But I get a lot of benefit from being part of this group and I'd like to thank the organizers, moderators, sponsers and all that participated.
 
I don't know if you guys have noticed, but Glaser/Hitec has donated some of their "to-die-for" tools! I have one Glaser gouge, and it is SO NICE! The CEO, Paulo Marin was so nice to deal with. He knew about our site, and was actually glad I contacted him! He came up with a selection of prizes that is exceptional. Even the signed Jerry Glaser poster is a winner, because he only signed about twenty of those things!

Oh, and this IS a plug for more donations! [:D]

Will you guys stop making so much noise about this. If you attract any more attenion you're going to ruin my odds and I have my eyes on a couple of these.

It has been a terrific Birthday Bash. We've all had loads of fun with the different events. My hats in the drawing ... no need to worry ... I'm not exactly on a win streak. But, I am having a great time! [:)]
 
Al, I'm in total sympathy for you I even lost[:(] playing GO-FISH with my grandaughter 4 stright times (after the second time I was trying to win[}:)]) and shes only 3. Is there a losers forum we can join? This has been a blast of a Birthday Bash and enjoyed it&gt; My hats [xx(]in also so guys and girls your chances with me and Al in have increased by 2[:D]..
 
I agree about IAP and the great membership. The birthday bash has been great fun, as well as an educational experience (who would ever have imagined a chia-pen). My wife (also a woodworker) is amazed at the improvements that my pens have shown in fit and finish. A great deal of that improvement is a direct result of the advise and tips I read on this forum. Thanks to Jeff and to all of the great members who share their skills with us every day.
 
All joking aside, the suppliers of all prizes whether retailers or private individuals, a great big THANK YOU[:D] To Jeff & Scott & all the moderators, thanks for all you do and having such a great anniversary party[:D]
