Dissasemble Duraclick Slim?

Anyone have any ideas for disassembling a Duraclick Slim pen? Because of the narrow opening in the coupler/center band, I don't see how I can get a transfer punch into it. I forgot to include the clip when I assembled it. So I was going to leave it as a clipless pen, but without the clip, the mechanism won't work. So unless my ox of a son can pull it apart, it's going to be a loss. Terrible to get old.

Never mind, I figured it out. I hadn't thought about going through the finial end. I found that a "grippy" glove helped me hang onto it as I drove the parts out.

Tolerances for that kit must be very close - I'm surprised that just the thickness of the clip ring would render the mechanism inoperative. Glad you found a way to recover.
