Can a Diamond Knurl be disassembled and reassembled? Made a Diamond Knurl and barrel is too short by a hair less than a finger nail thickness. Mangled the mechanism and cap-clip getting it apart and want to know if there is a better way if I have the same problem come up again.
Or is there a fix for the adding to any barrel that is too short?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, I've done it many times. Just unscrew the twist mechanism and remove it before proceeding with transfer punches.

I don't understand.

The pen operates completely independent of the turned body--what are you trying to change??

Is it a Diamond Knurl or a Diamond Knurl Rollerball? - Dave
A diamond knurl. When I tried to take it apart the twist mechanism was stuck in the cap. I used a punch and removed the clip and cap. Wound up breaking the cap. Then digging the hole deeper, I used a punch on the mechanism which ruined that too.
Sorry about the delay in responding. We've a new baby in the family. Beautiful little fella is a wonderful distraction.

That is one that I am not experienced with, but I use the EB Diamond Knurl Rollerball a lot so I'm afraid I don't have any advice to offer.

PS Congratulations on your wonderful little distraction! My distractions are all adults now. - Cherish your time when they are still little.
