Tried dipping a couple of turned blanks in lacquer like some people but after they hung to dry there was a bulge of lacquer at the bottom where it had pooled. How do you dippers solve this problem? It was a beautiful deep shine but now I have to sand off a big portion of the bottom end to make it even again. Then lacquer that part again.

Hugo,

You have to leave the bushings on the turned tubes to avoid the dreaded bulge. Some people turn finishing bushings from delrin or other materials to use for finishing.
