I have a tap for the Bock #6 nibs and have occasionally messed up the plastic threads on the nib unit. I thought it would be convenient to try and run the nib unit through the die to see if I could repair the threads. I can't find a die of the Bock nib dimensions. Not a huge problem, but I would like to own one.

If it's horribly expensive, its not worth the trouble, but thought I would ask here.

Thank you.

Just because I can, here is a photo of a pen I just made to match a book cover

So, several years ago the dies were available during a group buy. There also used to be a vendor, I believe it was silverpenparts who sold the dies. Unfortunately, those are no longer available.

Theoretically, if you had access to a metal lathe, milling machine and the skills you could make a die.

Realistically, it would probably be cheaper to order the die from tapco. It would probably be 400$ +, but maybe you could gauge interest in a group buy. I bet there would be some folks interested and if you could get the order quantity up to 12 or more, the cost would be far more reasonable.

Thanks for the replies.
I may try to cut a die in brass today.
MrRedburn. If you have one, I'll probably buy one.
$400 is more than I want to spend for a nice to own tool
