I sold off my 1236 Jet and replaced it with the new Delta. I really like the slower speed on the high range, and the reverse is real nice also. Here is a picture of the first two pen off the new lathe. Both of the pens are Buckeye Burl with turquoise inlay and a ca finish sanded to 12k. I know the rules so here is a picture. I know this is 2 new lathes in a week .:cool:Russell

The pens look good, but you simply will not be happy with that Delta lathe! I'll come get it and save you from all that misery:). After all, what are friends for?

Yep, you picked a good lathe. I purchased one several months ago. I also have a Nova 1644. I haven't touched the Nova since I purchased the Delta. I'm thinking of selling the Nova and looking for a metal lathe.
