Yup, I did it again. Just got out of the hospital from my second hip replacement. I am glad that I only have two legs, that's for sure. Besides the pain, which is considerable the worst thing is not being able to get to the basement where my pen workshop and laser reside. Im am sure that there are a few of you that understand. I am also grateful for spell correct while under the influence. LOL. I don't know why women have such an aversion to a man having a lathe in the living room. (prolly lose a few more body parts though) As I said once before if this surgery is something your are pondering. Go for it. It only hurts for awhile

I am with you on two counts ...

1) I have had both hips replaced, and

2) the living room is a great place to show off your lathe and workmanship !!!

Good luck !! .. Hope your recovery goes well !!

Heal quickly and just be happy she is there.

The doctors are talking to me about knee and hip replacement. The part I don't like is they say I won't be able to up and down to do my work. So I am waiting for as long as I can.

Eye surgery is going to happen this winter........I can't put that off anymore.

I wish you a speedy recovery! The only thing that can get in your way of healing if yourself! Make sure to listen to the doctor, therapist, your body. I've seen many people push themselves too hard and end up worse for wear.

Let me know when you want some help to move the family into the basement and your workshop the first floor so you can get back to making some wood. (:
