Hi,
This is one of those pens that has died a few deaths on the lathe. I had terrible end chip out on the amboyna that almost lost the whole pen. I actually started this pen on a close friends lathe last fall and had problems. While there we spliced the ends with ebony. Well it sat on my bench till today, and when I turned it the ebony blew out.........hmmmmmmm, I looked around the shop, found a nice sized piece of buck eye burl to compliment the amboyna ...any way...it now lives, like a cat I guess, many lives...wonderful memories.
